Registration Fees

Onsite classes

NOTE: annual registration is waived for 2021 spring semester.

There is a $75.00 non-refundable annual registration fee per family per school year. The purpose of the registration fee is for students to secure a spot in the class for the whole year.
Returning families

The annual registration fee is due by the day of submitting the class request form.

New families

For new families, the annual registration fee is divided in two parts:

  • $25.00 try-out-fee: should be paid on the day when first try-out class is scheduled.
  • $50.00 sign up fee: should be paid on the day of registration to a class.

If a family joins The Russian school of Austin during the second semester (starting in January), the sign up fee is reduced to $25.00.

If only an adult takes classes, the non-refundable registration fee per family is $25.00.

Online classes

No registration fees for on-line classes.

Monthly tuition

Onsite classes

Enrollment in school is considered till the end of the school year - May. I agree to pay monthly tuition depending on the amount of classes that I choose to register for and any additional fees that are listed in classes I registered for. The monthly tuition (fee varies) is due by the first school day of the month except May. There is no payment in May.

If a family cannot make a payment in time for any reason, it should notify the administration in advance so we could find a solution that would benefit both parts.

Families are responsible to pay monthly tuition even if they are missing school days. There are no refunds or make ups for missed classes.

If there is a balance on an account on the 2nd scholl day of each month for any reason, it will be drafted/charged with the tuition and fees on the 3rd school day of the month at a $25.00 late fee.

If classes are cancelled due to the school’s fault, tuition will be credited to your account and applied to the next month’s tuition. If a family has a negative balance from previous years, it needs to be cleared by a board member or office staff before the family can re-enroll.

Online classes

Enrollment in school is considered for the semester:

  • Fall semester: September-December
  • Spring semester: January-May
  • Summer semester: June-August

I agree to pay monthly tuition depending on the amount of classes that I choose to register for and any additional fees that are listed in classes I registered for. The monthly tuition (fee varies) is due by the 5 of a month.

Discounts

Onsite classes

If more than one child from one family attends the school, a 25% discount of the total amount for kids classes will be added.

No discounts for adult classes are given.

Online classes

No discounts for online classes are given.

Additional Fees:

Parents will be responsible for supply fees if the teacher decides to collect them once or twice per year (ceramics, arts, crafts, theater etc.).

For some classes, parents will need to purchase books through school.

Contract termination

Contract termination is accepted only in rare and unforeseen circumstances (job loss, moving out of state etc.) with written notice and supporting documentation, which must be submitted to the Board of Directors for review.

If a family quits the school without a substantial reason which has been reviewed by the Board of Directors, $100 per month per child penalty will be charged. If the school does not receive this payment, familie’s file will be sent to the collection agency.

Trial Classes:

In order to come and try classes a $25 non-refundable fee should be paid prior to a try out class which will go towards your non-refundable annual registration fee should the family decide to attend this school (explained above).

A family can try a maximum of 6 different classes per child during two school days. At the end of the second trial day the family has to finalize their schedule. If there was a substitute teacher for a class, the child can try this class one more time with the actual teacher.

Once a family actually registers for a class, a monthly fee is calculated starting from the first day the family had attended school. Trial classes do not change the dollar amount a family pays as monthly tuition.

Number of classes

A family can take any number of classes it would like for each child (from 1-6). However, the total number of classes for the family cannot be reduced after the family has finalized it’s schedule for a school year. In rare cases if there is a valid reason, a class could be exchanged or substituted between members of the family (limited number of times).

General School Rules:

  • playgrounds must be kept clean and tidy at all times; trash should be thrown in the trash cans provided;
